BGT is addressing the consumer demands for smaller electronics and sustainable power solutions by revolutionizing electrical energy storage technologies. Grat-Film technology boosts the energy delivery, reliability and lifetime of rechargeable batteries by overcoming the performance barrier associated with conventional carbon electrodes and additives.
We are developing cathode and anode materials incorporating Grat-Film technology, and customizing cell prototypes which are to be commercialized rapidly for the next generation lithium-ion batteries and intelligent power solutions. Our Grat-films have demonstrated superior electronic conductivity, chemical stability and mechanical flexibility, providing a unique pathway to attain unprecedented multifunctionality for lithium-ion battery technology. In contrast to traditional carbon additives and graphene nanoplatelets, our Grat-films enhance the capacity, recharge speed and cycling performance of battery devices much more effectively. Our innovative solutions include:
- Fully formulated composite anodes accessing a reversible capacity over 1000 mAh/g (three-times higher than that of current graphitic anode at minimum?) and extended cycle life;
- Highly efficient cathode additives which enable extremely high rate capability and power delivery of battery cells close to that of supercapacitors;
- Miniaturized and flexible cell designs that achieve sustainable cost reduction, intriguing compatibility with high-throughput protocols for thin-film processing, and excellent integrity with portable electronics, energy harvesting devices and embedded passive circuits.
